HOW EPICURIOSITY – EAT, THINK. LAUGH WORKS
Epicuriosity can be enjoyed in pairs,
or as individuals.
Level 2 (below) is our standard, but you can choose the difficulty level to suit your occasion. And even request a theme.
1. Easiest – You’d rather be shopping or at the footy than in the kitchen, but you still love to eat, think and laugh!
2. Something for everyone – You enjoy dabbling in the kitchen, trying the occasional new recipe or unusual ingredient. You know the difference between cheddar and brie, and you can spot the difference between a Chardonnay and Shiraz!
3. Hardest – for food and wine aficionados.
A whole lot of feasting and fascinating fun!
Our Epicuriosity staff arrives at your venue around an hour before guests arrive.
This time is used to get organised in the kitchen, prepare the props required for the evening, and set the table for dinner.
Staff includes an MC who is host for the evening and facilitates all the food and wine activities, a chef to prepare each course, and a waiter for food service.
A wine waiter is an optional extra, not usually required.
Guests can be seated on arrival, or if space permits, can mingle for 30 mins prior to seating.
Epicuriosity takes three and half to four hours, so a short lead-in time is recommended.
The delicious meal includes five courses – canapes, two small dishes, a shared feast, and dessert. Each course is accompanied by a food or wine related activity.
These include identifying ingredients by sight and/or smell, a food and wine quiz, wine tasting, a hands-on creative challenge, blind tastings and more. There’s endless scope for creating great fun activities.
This is something we love to do and we’re continually expanding our resources to ensure it’s always great fun.
A fully equipped kitchen (oven, stove-top, sink and bench space).
Table seating for all guests. A separate floor space of around 3m2 (a bedroom or office is ideal).
Cutlery and glassware for all guests. (Knife, fork, water glass, wine glass) Beverages as required.
We supply: All food – five courses.
Crockery as required for all courses.
All props for the food and wine activities. A small amount of beverages for some activities.
A great prize for the winner or winning team. Staff for up to 5 hrs, setup and pack down included. This is plenty of time provided there are no stoppages (such as feeding or putting little ones to bed).
